Welcome to 2016 – The Year of Virtual Reality
For decades now we have been accustomed to the familiar sight of a computer monitor, keyboard and mouse as our default tools to gain access into the world of a computer. It has become the global standard protocol to access our work in the office, access our education at schools and access our games at home. Brave attempts to change the way we interact with and immerse ourselves within the digital world of a computer have been made in the past with varying degrees of impact. But this year we are on the verge of witnessing potentially the biggest revolution in computer-human interaction since the birth of the internet.
This revolution is taking the form of Virtual Reality.
Since 2012, momentum has been growing behind this new technological platform with many large and influential organizations including Sony, Facebook, Google, Samsung, Valve, and many others, making it public knowledge that they are developing virtual reality hardware. All of which is intended to launch over 2016. Within the next few months we will witness the birth of a new technological medium and with it we will see changes in the way we interact with our computers, interact with our digital worlds and most importantly changes in the way we interact with each other.
Join us on the 3rd of February 2016 as we bring together international VR talent & experts to discuss openly what we will be expecting this year from this new technology, delve into its potentials and its limitations as well and understand its technical and commercial applications.
