PlayStation®VR introduced to gamers at GIST 2017
The second edition of Gaming Istanbul – GIST 2017 was held with wide attendance and became a vital event for development of gaming in Turkey to achieve global standards. We are delighted to support events that make meaningful contributions to the ever-developing world of gaming. As PlayStation, we leveraged our 90% market share achieved through dynamic growth to actively participate in the Gaming Istanbul event. We showcased the PS4 family of products that caters to the needs of all gamers, and launched our most popular titles. Gamers in Turkey congregated for the first glimpse of PS VR. It was a pleasure for us to display our range of games, other products, and the unforgettable virtual reality experience that redefines gaming for the next generation at GIST 2017.

First experience of highly-anticipated “Horizon: Zero Dawn” with its creator Troy Mashburn
Playstation Turkey’s presence at GIST 2017 included the launch of PS VR and a number of exciting events. Gamers found the opportunity to experience many of our most popular titles. The highlight was the first experience of the highly-anticipated PlayStation 4 game “Horizon: Zero Dawn” in Turkey at the GIST 2017 event. We invited the game’s developer, Troy Mashburn of Guerilla Games, for a presentation. Troy Mashburn shared insight into the production and development stages of the game, its features and special experiences awaiting players in a captivating presentation. GIST 2017 was a series of firsts for PlayStation, and an exciting event for everyone involved.

GIST 2017 was very productive for us. The most important advantage of GIST 2017 is the fact that it is an international exhibition so it is possible to meet with a large number of professionals in the field of B2B area. As Simula Games, we met Aerosoft, a publisher of simulation games, and had face-to-face meetings for 3 days in B2B area. These talks were very positive and we continued to meet with the publisher after the fair. As of May 2017, we are about to sign an agreement with Aerosoft. I strongly recommend GIST to all independent developers as it provides the stand space and the opportunity to talk with the press.
